News & Events

Welcome to our new website! We are thrilled to show and tell you a little bit about what's been happening at Texas HCS Inc in Beaumont.

First, we are so privileged to have such wonderful families who have chosen us to serve their loved ones. We would like to welcome the newest members of our team, direct care staff Nikia LeBleu, Angela Bell, Justin Westbrook, Doris Faulk and Brittney Watkins. We would also like to welcome Lacey Rhodes, RN who will be working with us to provide quality service to all individuals served. Thank you all for the work that you do!

We are extremely proud of our individuals who have obtained jobs, and the ones volunteering in the community. They continue to be happy, and do a great job. They are involved in ARC and Self Advocates and have participated in many activities this quarter including the ARC Winter Formal where we all got to wear our best attire and dance the night away, the Scarecrow Festival, and a fun-filled trip to NASA!!!

We enjoyed a nice leisure trip to Kemah Boardwalk and enjoyed the water, rides, and games. We had lunch at Landry's on the waterfront and watched the sailboats glide through the water. It was the perfect day for an outside trip!!!

Halloween always brings out the ghosts and goblins. This year was no different. Our individuals dressed in a variety of scary costumes, and some not so scary. We attended the Halloween party at Spindletop where our own "Brave Knight" won second place!

Our dayhab has added new and exciting activities to their agenda which has our individuals so motivated. One of the activities includes a monthly Wii tournament. They are learning more healthy eating tips and participate in regular exercise. We are seeing the results and everyone is patting themselves on the back!

Our Thanksgiving feast was great!!! Everyone expressed what they were thankful for and shared thanks with one another. The workshop staff and Administrative staff prepared the meal which included turkey, ham, dressing, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, potato salad, green beans and rolls. Yummy!!!

Everyone is thrilled about the holidays as the individuals have decorated their homes and the workshop by outing up Christmas trees, etc... We look forward to the upcoming Company Christmas party for good food, fun and dancing with family, friends and staff.

We will be keeping you posted on upcoming events. Please feel free to share your thoughts through this website...see the "Feedback" tab or the "Satisfaction Survey" on several of these screens.
